This long-term capacity building project responded to growing youth exclusion and the need for more inclusive, quality youth work across Europe and the Western Balkans. Carried out by the Bosnian youth centre Zdravo da Ste in cooperation with the ORA Network, the project aimed to empower youth workers and organizations by developing new tools, methods and competencies rooted in non-formal education.

Structured into three phases: Observe, Rethink, Act, the process involved a study visit in Belgium to explore good practices, a seminar in Berlin to share methodologies and build a common educational platform and a training course in Banja Luka where participants applied and tested their new skills through community-based workshops. Key topics included environmental education, community development, creative expression and inclusive practices.

As a result, participants produced a handbook and online toolkit compiling good practices, training modules and case studies. The project also launched job-shadowing exchanges within the ORA Network and led to follow-up local initiatives and future Erasmus+ collaborations. The outputs serve as a replicable model for strengthening youth work and supporting the inclusion of marginalized young people through cross-sector, participatory and creative approaches.
