Social Enterprise and Natural Capital Seminar

Pecka, Bosnia and Herzegovina – April 2022

Youth workers and educators from eight European countries gathered in the heart of Bosnia to explore how social enterprise and natural capital can be combined to foster youth inclusion and community development. The seminar was part of a broader Erasmus+ multi-activity project coordinated by ARCI Chieti and Zdravo da Ste, grounded in the ORA method: Observe, Rethink, Act.

The aim was to share and analyse local experiences and methodologies that link youth social entrepreneurship with natural spaces such as parks, eco-zones, nature reserves and pedagogical farms. Participants mapped best practices and co-developed the foundations of a transnational educational and methodological platform. This platform is intended to guide youth organisations in empowering young people as active agents of change in the environmental, social, and economic life of their communities.

Held in the natural setting of Pecka, the seminar combined field immersion with collaborative sessions, creating a space for reflection and exchange. The dossier resulting from this phase collects case studies, tools and strategic guidelines that will inform the next steps of the project, including training and grassroots action.
