Linking sustainability with inclusion, this Erasmus+ project addressed how non-formal education methods can strengthen environmental education while promoting the active involvement of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Developed by the ORA Network, the initiative engaged 85 participants from nine countries and unfolded in three phases aligned with the ORA method: Observe, Rethink, Act.

The study visit in Anversa degli Abruzzi (Italy) offered participants a close look at inclusive environmental education practices, focusing on nature reserves, sustainable development and youth engagement. In Stoumont (Belgium), the training course deepened practical skills and introduced non-formal methodologies tailored to local youth work settings. The process culminated with a seminar in Berlin (Germany), where participants reviewed results, shared best practices and co-developed a platform of quality guidelines and future strategies.

Throughout the project, activities were grounded in experiential learning, peer exchange and intercultural collaboration. The outcomes, documented in a final publication, present educational tools, project examples and concrete recommendations. The material is designed to inspire and support organisations working at the intersection of youth inclusion and environmental education through non-formal approaches.
